SE Plant "Electrotyazhmash"

	The glorious way of the giant of transportation and power machine building SE plant «Electrotyazhmash» started at 1946 when the goverment of USSR signed the order about the building of the plant of locomotive electrobuilding in Kharkov.
	In 1947 the first traction electromotor for magistral locomotive TE-1 was released. At the same time, the manufacture of electrical apparatus, auxiliary equipment, then locomotive generators was developped. In 1949 the first patterns of locomotive generators were manufactured. In 1950 the plant started their serial production. Since that time KhETZ started the complex supply of electrical equipment, became a sole designer and supplier of traction electrical transmission for locomotives in the country.
	In 1954 along with the release of locomotive electrical equipment at the enterprise the manufacture of turbo-hydrogenerator had started and 4 years later the release of dc rolling machines was developped . In 1955 the first four hydrogenerators rating 52 thousand MW for Khakhovskaya HPP were manufactured at the plant. In 1954 the turbogenerators manufacture started at the plant. Since that time the plant has performed a fruitful work on manufacture of turbogenerators with hydrogen cooling.
	In June 1959 the plant was renamed to plant «Electrotyazhmash». The 60s were really fruitful: the building of new manufacturing blocks, the scope of production was increasing. At the end of 1959 the first machine rating 200 thousand kW, which is still operating at Severnaya HPP in Azerbadjan was manufactured.
	In 1962 the turbogenerator rating 300 thousand kW of ТГВ-300 type with direct hydrogen cooling was manufactured. In 1965 the first turbogenerator rating 500 thousand kW of ТГВ-500 type with direct hydrogen cooling was manufactured. In 1970 the unique turbogenerator rating 1 mln kW was manufactured.
	In 1992-1999 the plant has started to manufacture electrical equipment for trolley buses, trams, heavy load cars.
	In 1995 the turbogenerator rating 120 МW with air cooling was manufactured.
	In 2001 the 1st traction electromotor of AД914 type was designed and released in 2002, intended for operation at locomotive ДС-3 of joint manufacture NPR «Electrovozostroenie» (Dnepropetrovsk) and «Siemens» (Germany).
	In 2003-2004 SE plant «Electrotyazhmash» designed and supplied 30 sets of electrical equipment for locomotive TЭ-114T rating 2450 h.f. to OJSC HC «Luganskteplovoz» which are supplied to Iraq (traction synchronous generator of ГС-531T2 type, traction electromotor ЭД 151T1, returned asynchronous electromotor for drive of motor-fans to cool cooling chambers of diesel АДВ-3702).
	In 2005 «Electrotyazhmash» plant supplied the set of electrical equipment for the first Ukrainian diesel-locomotive shunter ТЭМ-103.
	In 2001 «Electrotyazhmash» plant started the designing and preparation of manufacture and in 2006 the plant released turbogenerator of TГВ-250-2PT3 type rating 250 MW for NPP in India.

        During the period of independence in Ukraine SE plant «Electrotyazhmash» continued to develop new types of products under conditions of marketing economy. Within this period the following was manufactured:
        - turbogenerator ТГВ-200-2P rating 220 VW, intended for operation in duties of peak loads;
        - turbogenerators TA-6-2, TA-12-2, TA-15-2 rating 6, 12 and 15 MW relatively, intended for sugar plants, autonomous power stations of metallurgy;
        - turbogenerator TГВ-325-2 rating 325 MW for Smievskaya HPP as per contract with «Siemens» company;
        - turbogenerator TA-120-2 rating 120 MW with full air cooling;
        - turbogenerator TГВ-320-2P rating 320 MW for Kievskaya HEC-6;
        - traction electromotors and apparatus for locomotives of Dnepropetrovskogo electrolocomotive plant, for trams, trolley buses of «Yuzhmash», big heavy load trucks BelAZ;
        - electrical transmission of diesel locomotive with asynchronous traction electromotors and static frequency converter for diesel-locomotive DEL-01, manufactured by HK «Luganskteplovoz».

Totally sinct 1954 the plant manufactured 657 turbogenerators rating 12-500 MW, 132 hydrogenerator rating from 6.1 to 236 MW, 80 synchronous horizontal, 100 synchronous vertical motors for drives of water pumps of watering channels, 930 big dc electrical machines.

Today, SE plant «Electrotyazhmash» esigns and prepares the manufacture of 9 traction electromotors ЭДП810 for electrotraction 2ES4K of Urals, plant of transport machine building, the tender to supply of which our plant won from leading russian enterprises: Lysvenskaya corporation «Privod» etc. The fulfillment of this contact will allow SE plant «Electrotyazhmash» to interfere Russian market with locomotive traction electromotors of new generation with mixed excitation.

In case of positive results of locomotive 2ЭС4K assimilation by russian railways, in 2011 the manufacture of traction electrical motors for locomotive 2ЭС4K can increase upto 110 sets per year.

The plant finishes the designing and preparation of manufacture of hydrogenerator-motor СВО1255/255-40 rating 421 MW for Dnestrovskaya HAPP, turbogenerator with air cooling of TA-35-2MУ3 type rating 35 MW manufactured for metallurgical combinate «Zaporojstal», its construction allows to install it at the new building blocks or use to replace generators after their operation period.
