Turbo generator with new stator made by Electrotyazhmash was installed at Indian "Kaiga-3" Nuclear Power Station
The new stator is installed to replace the old one on ТГВ-250-2ПТ3 turbo generator manufactured by “Electrotyazhmash”.
The stator was manufactured and delivered by the Plant earlier. Works on replacement of the equipment started in mid-November 2020.
The engineers of the Plant carried out supervision of dismantling the old stator, installation and commissioning the new one. Currently, the new stator is passing the commissioning tests and is being operated as part of the turbo generator. The guarantee for the delivered equipment is one year from the date of putting into operation, but not more than three years from the date of delivery.
Information
“Kaiga” NPS is part of the Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL). The Station consists of four Power Units: at Power Units Nos. 3 and 4, two turbo generators TGV-250-2PT3 manufactured by “Electrotyazhmash” were installed, which were supplied by the Plant in 2005-2007. The same machines were delivered by the Enterprise in 2006-2007 for Power Units Nos. 5 and 6 of the Indian "Rajasthan" Atomic Power Station (RAPP). The turbo generators of this type were the first for the Plant, they were specially designed to work at these Stations. ТГВ-250-2ПТ3 capacity is 250 MW, version: horizontal, cooling: hydrogen-water type, weight: 280 t.
